A Spiritual Way of Life
“If we are painstaking about this phase of our development, we will be amazed before we are half way through. We are going to know a new freedom and a new happiness. We will not regret the past nor wish to shut the door on it. We will comprehend the word serenity and we will know peace, No matter how far down the scale we have gone, we will see how our experience can benefit others, That feeling of uselessness and self-pity will disappear. We will lose interest in selfish things and gain interest in our fellows. Self-seeking will slip away. Our whole attitude and outlook upon life will change. Fear of people and of economic insecurity will leave us. We will intuitively know how to handle situations which used to baffle us. We will suddenly realize that God is doing for us what we could not do for ourselves.” Alcoholics Anonymous

Albino Squirrel
I’ve never seen an albino squirrel before moving out here to the Ohio Valley. I encountered this one while taking a walk through Inniswood Gardens. Despite periodic complaints about the animal as a pest, general public opinion towards the animal is favorable, thanks to its agreeable appearance, intelligence and its eating styles and habits. They grace our parks and bring smiles to children and me.
Wikipedia search found the following information about the albino squirrel. Olney, Illinois, known as the “White Squirrel Capital of the World,” is home of the world’s largest known albino-squirrel colony. Kenton, Tennessee is home to about 200 albino squirrels. There are also albino squirrels on the main campus of Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Brevard, North Carolina and Marionville, Missouri have a substantial population of white (not albino) squirrels. Western Kentucky University has a locally famous population of white squirrels.

Nature Therapy
Needed more nature therapy this morning to help clear out my mind only this time I went to Inniswood Gardens. Awwwwh!
Experiencing Spirituality
“If we can accept the reality of our imperfection, the fact that we are put together funny, that we are, by our very nature, limited and thus do not have absolute control over our lives, we are taking the tentative steps that are all that we can take on the pilgrimage that is spirituality. Once we accept the common denominator of our own imperfection, once we begin to put into practice the belief that imperfection is the reality we have most in common with all other people, then the defenses that deceive us begin to fall away, and we can begin to see ourselves and others as we all really are.” The Spirituality of Imperfection

Blue Bus Stop
A few years ago I began to notice benches. I had one month were I posted an image of a bench I took on that day. Benches are everywhere and are in every imaginable shape, color, size and location. And, comfort will vary just about every one of them. Just as interesting as the benches are the people who sit on them or stand beside them. This image was taken in Daytona Beach.
Wandering the streets…
My work has shifted my photography. I now find myself wandering the streets for images more than wandering country/mountain roads in search of open scenics. I drove to a small town north of here called Delaware, Ohio. Small little college town with a coffee shop called The Mean Bean. The mocha was okay and I enjoyed the ambiance. I found these mail boxes just down the street and was called by the patterns and colors. I’m curious what the differences are between the two suites and the rear unit.
Zoo Time
Two of my roommates made a day trip to the zoo this past weekend and as you would expect for a weekend, children were everywhere. And, why not, aren’t zoos for children? NO! they are for all of us to enjoy. Anyway, Jamie was showing me images this morning and it triggered my mind to the images I took this past summer. I looked back through them and found some I really like. I added a few images to my gallery that you can find here. I enjoyed the above image depicting the enjoyment of a child meeting nature up close and personal and I chose the the following image as it shows and adult enjoying the nature. Continue reading
Red Wall
I think a photography class should be a requirement in all educational programs because it makes you see the world rather than just look at it. ~Author Unknown
