Shadows in the Alley

Shadows in the Alley

Went back to the alley again to try something a bit different: which is called practice. I used the same model but we tried to create a very different feel: the shady character. Again, it’s fun. During the process I encountered a mother and her two children who hesitated coming through the alley when they saw me. I waved then through then showed them what I was doing. They acted like it was cool but not so sure they had the same enthusiasm as I did. :-) Besides they were on their way to Graeters Ice Cream. I found the evidence all over their faces when they came back through. Happy Sunday!

Lol, you’re going to get arrested, hanging out in alleys and scaring small kids! Nonetheless, what a great photo, Monte. Very nicely done. Enjoy your Sunday! ma

You’ve got a winner here Monty. Hope I never run into you when I’m out prowling the alleys myself. You’re a menacing looking dude alright.

You’re too funny, Paul. Just make sure you can outrun me. LOL

Monte, this close to Halloween you’ve got to be careful who, or what, you might discover lurking in a dark alley. ;-) These photos look like fun but I know it’s a lot of work — well done!

At least he did his part for me. :-) It was also a reminder of how long ago I quit the habit: over 30 years ago. And, when we put out and effort we go get results, not always what we may started out to accomplish, but results.

So, you “kicked” the habit before it kicked you. Happy 30 years! I am close to my 20th anniversary myself.
When I look at the photo – it looks so real the way you are “lighting up” – strange how clearly we remember the details of former habits. Really super photo.

Thanks, Wayne! It was strange with one hanging out of my mouth. :-)

Love the mood in this one. Funny about the family catching you. I was going to ask if you have been caught in the act of an sp. lol.

Thanks, and yes I can get some strange looks from time to time. A lot of people look suspiciously at a camera toting photog. How’d the wedding go?

Since when did you start smoking :)
I like the look – you know – the bad boy style – but not the smoking :)

    Hugs…

I quit that habit over 30 years ago. It actually felt strange having it hanging out of my mouth. Thanks, for stopping by and leaving a comment.

Man! If I saw you in that alley, I’d steer clear! :) What a wonderful photo, Monte. What did you use to ‘light’ the cigarette? A flash?

A pack of cheap cigarettes and the lighter cost me six dollars. the cigarette is hanging out of my mouth and the lighter is illuminating my face. The back light is from the alley light.

    Monte,

What a great shot. I love the tones and shades in this photo. Well done. Yes, you look quite shady, haha.
