It was cold this morning on my short walk at the Arapahoe Bend Nature Area. The slight breeze made the 24 degrees seem colder. Needless to say I kept the walk short and stopped at the coffee shop on the way home. If you look closely you will see a young lady just starting a walk with her dog.

A quick post….
… then off to meet a friend for coffee and conversation. I will be taking down the tree today or tomorrow, so I thought I’d pst at least one image of the tree decorations. It seemed like the gift giving this year had a special meaning. My youngest daughter helped pick out gifts for my grandchildren so they were happy with what they received. I also did not spend much money this year as I did not have much money to spend on them. Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas with family and friends.

Shopping
I’m done shopping! No more for this year. Took my daughter with me last week and she helped me finished it all. Thank you, Monica.
I met a friend for lunch the other day and arrived a half hour early. So, grabbed the camera and walked around the shopping area. I discovered this truck as advertisement in front of a liquor store. Impulsively, I made four shots and was on my way. Hope everyone has a good weekend.

One of the Regulars
On early morning trips to any one of my favorite coffee shops you will find a few regulars and I’m not talking about regular coffee. John is one the regulars. The baristas always greet him when he walks in the door carrying the morning paper under his arm and sharing his inviting smile. The baristas know him, the customers know him. It’s people like John that make the world a good place to call home.

Friends
“Friendship marks a life even more deeply than love. Love risks degenerating into obsession, friendship is never anything but sharing.” ― Elie Wiesel
My friend Kay and I drove up to Estes Park the other day to have brunch with her friend, Nellie. As you can tell they enjoyed catching up on family, sharing a hug, catching up on the latest with each other, exchanging gifts with each other and sharing a few tears. I found it refreshing to see them connecting as friends.

I made myself go to the mall this past weekend. With clear skies it was an attempt to get in some shooting more so than spending money. This is an advertisement in a window at one of the stores. I thought it was interesting.
