    Silly Geese

    Flying in Formation
    Flying in Formation

Seeing and hearing Canada Geese flying in formation is a usual fall scene out here in Colorado. Most of us in Colorado consider the Canada Goose to be a pest. They seem to thrive in populated areas. I have two ponds in my condominiums so we have a great place for them. In fall they begin to appear making a natural alarm clock around 5;00 am. By the time December comes around we are seeing many formations like the one above but they can be hundreds of them. Hoping you have a great week!

We are expecting slight snow this morning and cold temperatures. And, the geese will love the weather as they sleep on the frozen ice. Silly Geese!

    Filled With Gratitude

A Look and Feel of Winter
A Look and Feel of Winter

Not many photographs lately as the inspiration to frame and press the shutter button has not been there. I still see the scenes and look for them. This was taken back in early November near one of my coffee shops.

I’m now sitting in a coffee shop after a busy Saturday. It’s been a day to connect with both family and friends so not much solo time, a different experience for me. But, there is a contentment within me. This past week has been a time to reflect on my life. There have been no extraordinary moments or life changing events to talk about, just life as it happens.  It has been a good year so I am filled with gratitude for the life I have. May this coming year bring joy, peace, good health into your life. Thanks for being a part of this blogging life.

    Dang It Was Cold

Cottonwood Tree Along East Horsetooth Road
Cottonwood Tree Along East Horsetooth Road

I got up early yesterday. Well, actually I awoke around 3:30 am and just was not able to get back to sleep. So, I got up around 5:00 and found myself driving out east along Horsetooth Road. I find some frustration when I go out to this area because of all the development. I do not have the open views of the past years. I have to keep going east to find those open spaces. This tree is and exception so here is another image of it.

Anyway it was cold and mainly due to the 80% humidity. But, not as cold as those in North Carolina. Have a great Tuesday!

    Stay Warm

Cold. That pretty much describes the weather for the past week. We had a couple inches of snow on December 30 and with the cold it’s still on the ground.

Since I’m not a party person I was under the covers with a book by 9:00 pm on New Years Eve. However, I was up early on New Years day, put on a crockpot of chicken tortilla soup then met  a longtime friend for coffee. Later in the afternoon, even though it was still cold, I ventured out for a walk with my camera.  I might as well start my new year with camera in my hand. And, it’s the same camera as the past 3 years. Hope everyone enjoyed their holidays. And, stay warm!
