    Making His Move

    Should I or Not
    Should I or Not

Spent part of the morning at Bean Cycle Roasters. It is becoming a favorite hangout for me. It offers a quiet ambiance and good coffee. I can read and write due to the quiet and peacefulness it has. I sat in the loft area which allows me to look down on the main floor and noticed a young couple playing a game of chess. I grabbed the camera and made a daring risk of interrupting the concentration of the game. I asked if I could take a photo of them playing. They smiled, said yes and went right back to the game. There are many reasons for people to patronize coffeehouses and games are on reason. It’s not unusual to see people playing cards, scrabble, dominos and chess with a real person and not on a tablet. I know a couple who would play scrabble everyday at lunch with the winner taking on the role of the boss for the next 24 hours. By the way, it looks like she’s winning. 🙂

    65th Anniversary

    Afternoon Starburst
    Afternoon Starburst

“As the years pass, I am coming more and more to understand that it is the common, everyday blessings of our common everyday lives for which we should be particularly grateful. They are the things that fill our lives with comfort and our hearts with gladness — just the pure air to breathe and the strength to breath it; just warmth and shelter and home folks; just plain food that gives us strength; the bright sunshine on a cold day; and the cool breeze when the day is warm.”

    Laura Ingalls Wilder

Today is my parents 65th Anniversary. Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!
