“Rainy days should be spent at home with a cup of tea and a good book.”
Awoke today with overcast skies and a light drizzle, the kind of rain a gardener would love. This image is from earlier in the week when we had a cloudless afternoon sky. It’s getting darker, an ominous feel, hearing a rumble of thunder every now and then so expect it to rain. I say bring it on! Think I’ll just sit on the covered porch and read.

A rainy day can be an opportunity to relax and enjoy a hot beverage, read a good book, or even just emerge yourself into the lulling rhythm of the rain from a covered porch. At least that’s the way I remember they use to be. Now with the rumble of thunder or even a hard downpour, my patience is tested with efforts to control and comfort a frantic and panicked large dog. I miss those old rainy days but I certainly hope you had a good one and that you have a good weekend as well. Take care and be well, Monte.

Well, it did rain hard for a while. By mid afternoon the sun came out and the day finished with a beautiful pink sunset. This morning is cool, 47 degrees right now. I’m about to meet Joan for a walk at Pineridge Natural Area. I’m going to wear a jacket 🤪
Have a great weekend!

Sounds light the beginning of a beautiful day…I love “jacket weather!” Thanks!
