    The Grandeur of God

“The world is charged with the grandeur of God.”

    Gerard Manley Hopkins

This scene was taken along Weld County Road 90. I drove around this morning in search of new locations to experience and photograph sunrises which offer wide open spaces, solitude, and silence. As I stood there knee high in grasses, a Dove cried out its mournful sad song while a Meadowlark sang to me. A coyote crossed the road and I must have seen a dozen Red Tailed Hawks. And one proud white tail buck stared me down. It is quite isolated, which is one thing I am looking for. I may have found what I was looking for. So be warned you may see more images from this location. Since it’s about 35 miles round trip it’s not going to be a daily visit. Anyway, I am grateful for this morning’s sunrise and the visible grandeur of God. Hope you have a wonderful day!

Sorry for placing the horizon so close to the center (Well not that sorry.). 😂

    Lush and Green

“May you recognize in your life the presence, power, and light of your soul. May you realize that you are never alone, that your soul in its brightness and belonging connects you intimately with the rhythm of the universe. May you have respect for your own individuality and difference.”

    John O’Donohue

Took a drive up over Bingham Hill. I see this view each time I pass through but have never stopped because there is no place to pull over. Well, because it looked so lush and green on this particular day, I decided to stop even with part of my car on the road and put on my flashers. Took about six photos then moved on. Glad I did and no cars came by, this time. 😂

    Altering Our Attitude

The greatest discovery of any generation is that a human can alter his life by altering his attitude.

    William James

When I live my day with a positive attitude the day does go much better. Seems I have a better attitude when I start every day with quiet time, prayer and meditation. And, I must also add that I enjoy hanging around people who have a positive attitude rather than a negative attitude. When our attitude is selfish and self-centered then we’re not going to be a lovely person to be around. One of many reason I don’t hang around politicians.

Had to stop and take this photo because those rows are almost perfect. Shows the differences between natures idea of perfection and man’s idea of perfection. We are expecting snow today. I can already see it snowing in the higher foothills. Stay warm!

    What’s That Smell?

    Hundreds of ‘um

When I take Prospect Rd east and pass over the interstate I find myself in farm land and pastures. Beyond that about 20 miles will be the open plains area with grass, yucca plants and cactus. Anyway, just the other side of the interstate there is a farmers field where I usually see sunflowers. However, this year he planted something different. As I drove by a few days ago there were several works out there placing what I thought were potatoes in burlap sacks. I thought it would make for an interesting image so I stopped to take a few shots. After stepping out of the car my nose let me know these were not potatoes but onions. Whew! Needless to say a half dozen images was plenty then moved on. 🙂
