Waldport Sunset

Walport Sunset
Waldport Sunset

I’m a Colorado native or at least pretty darn close. My parents moved to Colorado when I was around 5 years old and I’ve stayed close to the area most of my life. You can call me one of those transplanted natives. I love being close to the mountains and also to the plains, they both provide wonderful photo opportunities such as sunrises and sunsets.

However, the North West coast can provide amazing sunsets also. The coastal area provides us with rain forests, snow covered mountains and the pounding Pacific Ocean. I’ve never lived there but my one of my sisters and her children live in the Everett area allowing me to visit several times. In 2003 I made a three week trip to the west coast up and down the Washington and Oregon coasts. I could sit by the ocean for an hour taking in the sound and smell. While on that trip I took this sunset image near Waldport, Oregon. There was a couple just behind me sitting on the hood of their car watching the sun go down. Sunsets are spice for a life that is already pretty good!

Retired. Having fun shooting Fujifilm cameras. Journal daily. Meditate daily. Learning haiku. Have a love for fountain pens.
