Over the Edge

Cake

A couple of weeks ago I was in New Orleans for one of my overnights. We arrived late so our departure time was later in the day. I enjoyed the continental breakfast at the hotel then headed out for a walk. My journey took me to this small French bakery called Chez Pierre. Maybe three cars in the parking lot but something about it called me to walk in, and it wasn’t because I was hungry. I was met by an elderly women behind this absolutely beautiful display case of wonderful pastries. There were two young girls enjoying quiche and their conversation. Before I knew what had happened this delicious pastry was sitting in front of me (have no clue how that happened). Let me tell you it was delicious, even at 9:30 in the morning. I was over the edge.

Cake?

Here’s what it looked like when I left. No wonder my uniform pants fit tight.

LOL! That must have been some magic cake. It just appeared and then subsequently disappeared right in front of your eyes! :-) Looks (looked) yummy!

Yes, magic, that’s the word I was looking for. LOL And, it was good my friend. There were several others to choose from so I can go back and not force myself to eat the same thing. :-)

I really enjoy your little adventures to coffee shops, gardens among other special places.

It’s an awesome world and I must take it all in. I fail to live life if I don’t. I found that from experience.

[...] I visited back in June. On that visit I enjoyed the artistry of the baker and sampled one of their works of art. I stopped in again, chatted with the same lady as before and tried something new. Again, I was [...]
