A Prayer

“May I have the courage today
To live the life that I would love,
To postpone my dream no longer
But do at last what I came here for
And waste my heart on fear no more.”

John O’Donohue

This image was taken back in May. There is something about this tree that keeps me coming back to visit. Wonder if it’s the solitude this tree lives plus the courage to live the life it’s called to live. I also wonder how many of us have failed to live the life we would love.

Retired. Having fun shooting Fujifilm cameras. Journal daily. Meditate daily. Learning haiku. Have a love for fountain pens.

Those are powerful words and I’ve copied them to remind myself to try and figure out what I came here for. 🤔

Yes, they are! I have had them in my mind for a couple days now as I also want to be sure and accomplish what I came here for. Not sure that is one thing or task but is a series of many things. Pretty sure being a parent is one. So is having a camera in my hand, a fountain pen in my hand, moving from a self-center life to other-centered life, practicing living a spiritual life and many more. Now I’m being too philosophical. Have a great weekend.
