A Snapshot

Wisdom suggests new perspectives on ultimate questions: one does not “possess” wisdom but rather is possessed by it.

Experiencing Spirituality

On my way to Windsor to meet Eric this morning for coffee I stopped to accept the gift of this sunrise. A snapshot basically: the bright sun blowing out the highlights and showing the dust on my lens. I must admit I enjoy my drives through the country to meet Eric. Helps start the Saturdays. Hope you had a good Saturday!

Retired. Having fun shooting Fujifilm cameras. Journal daily. Meditate daily. Learning haiku. Have a love for fountain pens.

Lens flare and dust is just a way of showing nature’s glory, Monte. Proof that our little machines are no match for the power of the sun. Another beautiful start to the day.

Our Saturday included all our boys present and helping with decorations. Also a splendid Saturday. Glad yours was good as well!

Stunning shot, Monte. Both invigorating as the crisp morning air it was shot in and calming to see nature in all it’s quiet splendor. Thank you.

I wonder if it is because the breaking of dawn reassures our uncertain human hearts that, yes, God is still well, and this life will in fact go on with His blessing. Besides that hope contained in the sunrise, they are usually just so darn beautiful, more so than anything human hands can create, each one, rare and precious. Monte, you do such an incredible job of capturing them. I am transported to the deafening quiet of the moments with you, and experience the joy and wonder and yes, grace of that “snapshot” of God and His Creation. Blessings.

Oh and, I am greatly appreciating the writings on wisdom…that elusive gift of grace in knowing how to live this life with open hearts, hands, and minds and with gratitude. Blessings.
