After the Storm

Passing Storm
Passing Storm

We had dark ominous clouds move through Fort Collins this past Wednesday afternoon. I drove to the east side of town near the Environmental Learning Center to watch the clouds, the lightening strikes and thunder. Yet, not one drop of rain as the storm headed south and east for the plains. They got plenty of rain. I love the show nature puts on.

Each day of life is a gift. However, today is a bit more more special as it is my parents 69th wedding anniversary. 🙂 I love you two!

Retired. Having fun shooting Fujifilm cameras. Journal daily. Meditate daily. Learning haiku. Have a love for fountain pens.

You can’t beat Mother Nature for presentation and energy, can you! Nice photo with the bright green and dark blues. We’ve had our share of similar clouds this week with flash flooding in many of the NC mountain counties…sadly, even a few related deaths. I do enjoy rain when it comes in milder forms. I was sitting in an interior closet with Maggie for about an hour yesterday evening while thunderstorms passed…it’s the quietest location. 🙂

Happy Anniversary to your folks…69, wow, that’s an accomplishment!

I love the greens and blues from the Velvia film simulation in the Fujifilm X-T10. Adjust contrast and I’m done.

I have been watching your weather and seems to be rain forecast almost every day this past week. The coming week looks promising.

I do like stormy weather but there is that point when the amount of wind and/or rain get to that scary level and after that it can quickly escalate into the terrifying levels. Fortunately, it’s pretty rare where I live. And now we’re heading for winter so clear and dry is the forecast for us with temperatures in the low 70’s. Can’t complain 🙂

Living along the Front Range places us where many storms pass us by as they build up on their move eastward. We’re in a good spot. I do not like scary levels either and that includes winter weather. It’s going to be a hot day for us, reaching 92 degrees. Enjoy your winter!
