The Barn Again

Barns have many uses such as storage of grains, stock barns and stables, dairy barns and milk houses, tobacco barns and especially photography. I’ve posted several images of this barn and finding myself drawn to it, so expect more until I find another one. 🙂 Of course I”m also drawn to clouds and open spaces.

Retired. Having fun with photography. Journal daily. Meditate daily. Learning haiku. Have a love for fountain pens.

Fine image, Monte! Beneath the photographic merits in terms of scale, of proportions between sky and land, I just enjoy the image of a type of landscape I haven’t seen yet: Such wide stretches of land with nothing in between simple are not here in old Europe. American relatives always had told me about the size of the U.S. and the totally different feeling towards scales this creates, and your image is a fine illustration for this.

Thanks, Markus! Gald you enjoyed this image. And, yes there are places in this world where scenses like this do not exist due to rolling hills and dense forests. I’ve live in both worlds and find beauty in both.
