I Have a Headache

Snow squall at Pineridge Natural Area at sunrise.

This morning we awoke to overcast skies, light snow again and cold. Yet, I could just see a bit of glow in the east so drove to Pineridge Natural Area. I could see the snow squall moving to the northeast, the city shrouded in the aquall. It was quiet and peaceful up there. Saw three mule deer passing along the trail just below me and saw a fox.

Mule deer keeping an eye on me because I could be danger

I listened to a podcast between two professional landscape photographers talking about SEO (Search Engine Optimization). I’ve never really thought much about SEO because I never thought of myself as a professional photographer so why bother. But after some reflection I admitted the real reason was sloth. So I did some reading on it to try and understand it better. Now I have a headache!

Retired. Having fun with photography. Journal daily. Meditate daily. Learning haiku. Have a love for fountain pens.

Monte, why don’t you start with something a little easier, like world peace. Haha! There’s guesswork in even the best of SEO practices and it’s often like trying to hit a moving target as search engine companies tweak their search algorithms. It’s no wonder you’d have a headache.

    BTW, beautiful photos.

    Have a good weekend!

You may be correct in finding it easier to bring about world peace, Earl. I’m not to wound up about the SEO for my blog as I’m not sure trying to make money with my photography is what I want. I get about 25 visits per day as it is now. That’s fine with me at the present. Yes, have a great weekend!!

At this stage in my life, I do photography because it’s fun, and it’s a wonderful tool for exploring both myself and the world around me. I don’t think I could make any substantial money from photography without working hard at it, and I fear that would take the fun out of it. I’ll just keep it fun. 🙂
