Now Have Four

The Four White Pens
The Four White Pens

This is not the best image but it shows my four white fountain pens. From front to back I have a white Pilot Prera, White Nemosine Singularity, White TWSBI Classic and a White Tiger Pilot Metro. The newest one is the TWSBI Classic. All of them are nice writers and no I do not have a favorite, yet. After taking this image I realized how all of them have silver trim. Now, I have more decisions to make each morning. 🙂

Enjoy your weekend!

Retired. Having fun with photography. Journal daily. Meditate daily. Learning haiku. Have a love for fountain pens.

I think I like the white one! 😉

I did a little research on those different pens and it is interesting to see how much variation there is between them, not just the prices but the materials, technology (I guess you would say) and style of writing. I know you said you didn’t have a favorite but would be interested to know if using one over the other influences the subject matter or vice-versa.

Each of the pens has a different nib, size and style of writing. The White Tiger Pilot Metro has the most enjoyable nib to write with, an italic medium. It is also made of metal so it is heavier. I like the line variation from horizontal to vertical. I have five of those pens in different colors and different colors of ink in them. The white Prera has the same nib but it is a much lighter pen.
The TWSBI Classic is a piston filled pen, meaning it has twice as much ink capacity. It is the pen that feels the best in my hand.

I’ve been away a bit and came here thinking I’d missed out on a pile of posts but it looks like you may be doing something else yourself.
I like the photo here, an absolute story-telling image. I’m also interested to hear your answer to Tom’s question. It’s a good question in light of your special relationship to your pens.

Yes, I’ve been putting in time on other things. That’s also one reason I have not responded to your posts.
I use my pens for journaling and letter writing. And, yes, that requires on of those postage stamps. I know people that use them for journaling/art and those pages are something beautiful to see. There is also a fad now called bullet journals. Some of these are just beautiful works of art.
