So Refreshing

Rainfall is an interesting natural phenomenon. Measuring how much rainfall we get is another phenomenon. I visit a website put out by the City of Fort Collins to see what has been measured in rainfall accumulation across the city. The city adds a disclaimer on the accuracy of the measurements but it does give some indication of how much rain we received. It rained yesterday afternoon and then began again early this morning. Plenty of lightning and thunder to go along with it. So, refreshing.

Ever notice how green is always greener after a rain? And, yes, I’m still asking questions. 😁

Retired. Having fun shooting Fujifilm cameras. Journal daily. Meditate daily. Learning haiku. Have a love for fountain pens.

Rain here has been quite unpredictable this year. Storms in the forecast, then nothing. And indeed, I do believe plants love a fresh rain over municipal ground watering – they show it in color!

We have been fortunate to have some nice rains over the past week and some predicted for this week. Yes, a good has a way of perking up plants as no other watering can do. Just ask any flower or vegetable gardener.

We’ve seen showers that we were sure would clobber us go right on by, and others that pop up unexpectedly. I keep hoping they will have a longer cooling effect, but we seem to be stuck in a typical summer pattern.

Cloudy and breezy here today, barely touching 90. We’ve actually been able to spend most of the day on the porch, catching up on blog reading. And commenting! 😉
