Stay Warm

the warm sunlight enters my bedroom window,
with shadows in contrast to the suns rays of happiness
the morning begins

clouds quietly move in and gray skies begin to dominate,
promising a blanket of snow and cold temperatures
the change begins

without fanfare old man winter makes an appearance,
and in the silence we listen for the first snowflakes
the snow begins

Retired. Having fun shooting Fujifilm cameras. Journal daily. Meditate daily. Learning haiku. Have a love for fountain pens.

Beautiful words and a lovely photo. Love that morning light! Do you keep a camera next to the bed? 🙂

Kathy and I are headed south for a few weeks. We’ll be warm and will stay in touch. 😉

I keep the camera in my backpack that sits just below this lamp. I can reach it quite easily. I’ve never slept with it. 😁 Sounds like a nice trip and it has been cold for you guys. Enjoy and travel safely!
