The act of creating …

I am a man of solitude who enjoys and relishes the silence I find away from the crowds. Yet, I’m aware the journey through life is not to be traveled alone. There are times in life we will need to walk alone while at other times we will travel with others. Some of those travelers will be family, friends and some will be strangers. Some will share similar visions and dreams. Some will support us in times of need while at other times we will support them. My hope in this time of unrest that is we do not see one another as “other than” and erect walls. For when we’re free from the shackles of our fear of others we will not need to build walls.

“May we believe that as we create relationships with all of creation we are also in the act of creating our world.”

This is Annette’s latte art. Not too shabby!

Retired. Having fun with photography. Journal daily. Meditate daily. Learning haiku. Have a love for fountain pens.

That’s an attractive cup of coffee and an excellent photo that has a narrative to it even without your inspiring words. I’ve yet to visit a shop that serves a decorated latte like this. I’m sure the talent exists here so maybe I just need to expand my hunting grounds.
Looks like you’re in the work of creating a very inviting world, Monte.

    All the best

She outdid herself on this one. She is quite the young lady and the owner of the shop. Yes, we can all expand our hunting grounds for latte art or images or both. My world is expanding and I’m loving it!

Words of wisdom for our times. Well said, Monte.

In general I’m not a fan of tattoos but do have a great deal of respect for the artistry involved. Some of them can be true masterpieces. I haven’t had many lattes and have never had one done like that…I feel like I’m missing out on an important life experience! I may need to indulge in October. 😉

Thanks, Tom. One aspect of the small local shops is the latte art. It just makes you feel like they spent a little extra time in preparing the drink. And, from a presentation point, the art will influence how we accept and taste the product.
