The Mystery of Grace

I do not understand the mystery of grace — only that it meets us where we are and does not leave us where it found us.

Anne Lamott

I have a morning routine that over time has evolved into what it is this morning. Some parts of my routine I seldom, if ever, change, and it’s not that I haven’t thought about changing them. Anyway, after my morning routine, I put on a crock pot of soup, then enjoyed sitting on a favorite rock at Pineridge Natural Area soaking up the sunrise. Laundry is almost done then meeting a friend at noon for lunch. This morning I am grateful for the breath of life and this mystery of grace. May you have a blest day!

Retired. Having fun shooting Fujifilm cameras. Journal daily. Meditate daily. Learning haiku. Have a love for fountain pens.

Establishing a routine can be quite calming, and that’s certainly something to be appreciated in this day and age. The blue-grey-green hue of the grass in the lower part of the picture is quite appealing to me.

I’m sure not a naturalist but I believe it is in the sage family, as plant.id tells me it is white sage. It’s also known as silver wormwood, western mugwort, Louisiana wormwood, white sagebrush, lobed cud-weed, prairie sage, and gray sagewort. Surprisingly it is in the daisy family. It is a beautiful plant and the color is more of a blue-grey-green-silver. If it is sage the Native Americans used it for medicinal and ceremonial purposes. I like to include it in the foreground when I’m at Pineridge. And, I definitely have me routines!
