Winter is not done…

Reminded this morning
that winter is not done
as big fluffy wet snowflakes
descend on our world.

Nature’s paintbrush dripping
with pure white snowflakes
drapes its blanket across
the backs of the Geese.

Had my follow up appointment with the cardiologist, Amy Dickinson, this morning and all is going well one week after the surgery. She said my heart sounds good and I’m progressing as expected. Will have an Echocardiogram on April 10th for a look-see inside then a one month follow up with the surgeon, Dr. Lazkani, on April 13th. I will begin a cardiac rehab in a week or two. She suggested I continue to increase my activity as tolerated. Also, have another blood draw on April 3rd then a meeting with the hematologist on April 6th and discuss how things are going in that area of my life. Thankfully, everything from the bone marrow biopsy came back negative. My world is much brighter today than 12 weeks ago. This mornings snow has continued throughout the day with no accumulation, but loving the moisture content it brings. Hoping you had a good day!

Retired. Having fun shooting Fujifilm cameras. Journal daily. Meditate daily. Learning haiku. Have a love for fountain pens.

Very, very good news! The worst is now in your rear view mirror. I can imagine how good that feels. Eyes ahead, looking for new adventures. 😄

Yes, very good news. She also told me to increase my activity level within my tolerance. That is good for me so I will venture out as you suggest. Have a great day!!

Yes, it’s good news! Yes, the snow was short lived. This morning we had light fog in low lying areas that has now burned off with sunshine and blue skies. The fog always seems make the trip to the coffee shop better.

Fabulous health news, Monte!! And like these marvelous geese, undaunted by the dusting of wet snow, going along their way step-by-step, you too have walked steadfastly through each moment and procedure. And as Spring is upon us, the sunshine of the Spirit will continue to guide you in your recovery and next steps. Thank you for your example. Blessings.

I am pleased with my progress. This whole process has been a time for growth in my patience and acceptance. I’m not awfulizing or trying to control as I have in the past. There is still more to learn and face in this healing. Again, thank you for being one of my supporters.
