I was heading for a new coffee shop when I passed over the Big Walnut Creek and glanced out the window. A light snow during the night had blanketed the ground and trees. What caught my attention was the sunlight beaming down on the creek. Of course I had to drive another half mile before I found a place to turn around. When I finally was able to get in place for a shot the sun was gone but not the scene. More practice and I like the new coffee shop. When I walked in I could smell something cooking which turned out to be blueberry scones. I ordered my usual mocha latte and one of the scones, I’ll have to got back.

With the layer of snow you can see the edges of the creek banks that would of been lost in any other shot. That in itself make for an interesting pattern as the creek snakes back into the image.

It’s not the same as the creek you had at your place a week or so ago and this one has snow. I’m not a bad driver unless I see something that catches my attention like this scene then I have this tendency to wander around looking for turnouts or turn arounds. A beautiful woman will cause that also.

Yum! Blueberry scones. Reminds me of the coffee shop downtown on Bay Street. They have some delicious scones. However, there is not such a beautiful scene as this on the way.

I will go back to the coffee shop for both, the scones and the scenery. But, I will always be on the look out for other shops and scenes.
