Why, it’s a yellow flower! And a very nice one, too. I do believe you are correct in calling it a Black Eyed Susan. I was once criticized by a nature photographer for not knowing the name of a particular flower. But I told him that a name is a label, and that I didn’t shoot it for what it was, I shot it for how it looked. Hope your weekend is shaping up nicely!

I have no idea the criteria they use to classify flowers so I just go by what I see and know, which is not much. I agree with you as I am drawn to the flowers for their beauty. Hope you are enjoying your weekend also.

I used to go out, shoot, come back and look up the name of the flower, but, as Tom said, it’s just a label. Later, I just appreciated that which appeared before me, without the label. I think that it’s beautiful, too!

Now a vote of 4. I have found it difficult in searching the internet for identifying flowers and trees. Man I see the beauty but struggle to see the differences. Glad you think it’s beautiful, also!!!
