Thanks, David. If we look at those around us we will see many who are only focused on the small screen of the iphone or droid or blackberry. They have no clue where they are or what is around them. I’ve found myself lost in thoughts with head down oblivious to my world around me. I have also seen some awesome colors when looking east during a sunset or west when during a sunrise. John Muir looked at the details, as should we.

That is beautiful, Monte. Can’t say that I’ve ever been to Nebraska … can’t say that I’ve ever wanted to go. LOL. I have 9 states remaining to be seen and it’s on the list. Probably somewhere near last. 😉 I jest, somewhat. I’m sure that there is plenty of beauty to be had.

It’s actually a pretty area on east side of the state, lots of lush green rolling hills. The farther west you go the fewer trees and more open prairie to stand in awe of. No matter your trip will quench any travel thirst you may have but leave you with more want.

Monte, I echo David and Paul’s comments on the beauty of this composition. That’s something I’m training myself in…looking up and down often. On many occasions I’ve been pleasantly surprised with what I find.

    Well done!

Very nice, Monte. Great tonality in the conversion. I like the sweeping lines of the buildings and the blank sky, nice contrast.
