Sacred by Our Participation

Sunset shadows at Cobb State Wildlife Area a few days ago

“… we will recover our sense of wonder and our sense of the sacred only if we appreciate the universe beyond ourselves as a revelatory experience of that numinous presence whence all things came into being. Indeed, the universe is the primary sacred reality. We become sacred by our participation in this more sublime dimension of the world about us.”

I upgraded the fonts plugin so I could change the title font and size. Whadda ya think?

Retired. Having fun shooting Fujifilm cameras. Journal daily. Meditate daily. Learning haiku. Have a love for fountain pens.

I love this photo’s sun rays, warm tones and deep shadows. It imparts a peaceful feeling. The fonts look good, Monte. It’s been a good blog “remodel,” and the results are very easy on the eyes.

I thought I’d made a comment on this post earlier, but I may not have clicked the post button.

At first I didn’t like the photo. The sunburst is blown out too much for my taste and there is a blade of grass sticking up in front of the lens that I never saw when taking the photo. I do like the warmth of the image. Let me tell you the quiet there is so soothing to me.
I needed to play with the font size because it came out garbled on my phone. I am much more pleased with the font and size.

I like the customization you seem to be getting from this template. I won’t be a copycat, but you have motivated me to spend some time upgrading my own site!

Love this photograph of the fall grasses backlit by the sun. And those rays!

I know others who tweek and sometimes “remodel”, as Earl suggests, their websites. And, sometimes it needs done out of necessity. I had been thinking of changing for quite some time. The theme I had almost seemed to be a waste of screen space. I’ve also simplified my life and why not present that in my website? Looking forward to what you may come up with.
For your information, I found a plugin called “WP Staging” that duplicates your website and allows you to change themes at will without destroying your current setup. I really liked it. It also creates this on your server and not your disk. You can delete it anytime.

No complaints Monte. I believe there is an ancient monk wisdom that one should never get too comfortable with one’s fonts. 😉

Great photo – quite radiant (no pun intended).
