Special touch

Latte Art

I enjoy the special touch the Bean Cycle offers with my mocha. After adding the mocha and espresso in the cup they begin pouring the steamed milk. When the cup is about a quarter full with steamed milk, they stop and sprinkle a dash of chocolate powder on top of the already poured milk. Next they fill the rest of the cup with more foamed milk adding those two or three hearts, showing their craft. To me the chocolate powder adds a tough to the looks and I love how the powder mixed with the foam sticks to my mustache. ❤️ So, sometimes I start my morning with this gift. Seems to make the day run smoother. I hope I was able to fully espresso how they make this special touch.

Retired. Having fun shooting Fujifilm cameras. Journal daily. Meditate daily. Learning haiku. Have a love for fountain pens.

It’s impressive how they make the mocha an artistic visual experience. As Baristas, they likely appreciate your admiration of their coffee art. Sounds delicious, too!

I do compliment them all the time. ONe shop I go to does not do the art very often while other shops make art everytime. It is fascinating to watch them and their focus. They are offering us a gift!

I find it interesting that they have competitions, locally and nationally, for latte art, put on workshops and encourage the use of the craft. For some it may come easier than others. A few years ago one of the coffee shops created and opportunity for the customer to pay like $15 for 15 minutes behind the counter and get to make them. There were young kids and old farts like me standing in line with our money. Great community event.

Your beautiful latte (which is my favorite coffee shop treat, by the way) and your comments, Monte, remind me that I can add a special touch to the day for others I randomly encounter, as well as for myself, just by being kind and joyful. Thank you! Blessings.

It does remind us that crafting a latte for a customer is a great way of being kind and joyful. You could include many other crafty arts like quilting, knitting, watercolors and more.
