Snow Report

“A little consideration, a little thought for others, makes all the difference.”

Eeyore

Well, I promised a snow report, so here it is. I cleaned about 5-7 inches of snow from my car this morning. My car dashboard said 22 degrees but we could see single digits tonight. After about 36 hours of snowfall nature is offering warm sunshine and blue skies. In this image from Reservoir Ridge Natural Area you are seeing the transition. I had coffee and conversation with Dan early this morning then made a drive to the foothills for photo opportunities as the sun and blue skies appeared before returning home. I lovingly accept the gift of this day. Enjoy your Sunday and may we all make a positive difference today.

Retired. Having fun shooting Fujifilm cameras. Journal daily. Meditate daily. Learning haiku. Have a love for fountain pens.

A beautiful scene that made my heart soar. I believe that counts as a positive difference, especially when compared to the horrible news lately. Thanks for sharing this photo!

However, I’m grateful not to deal with the harsh temperatures and road conditions.

Have you put on the soup, Monte? 😁

Thanks, Earl. After leaving the coffee shop and having that sun break out on blue skies it was a no brainer to head for the foothills. Love the image myself! The soup I took from the freezer is the spicy chicken tortilla soup. I have enough for three bowls. 😁

Well, something to look forward to I suppose. It’s finally turned cold here, something I thought would have happened weeks ago but until today we’ve seen mid 70s.

I’m not a fan of the cold but the snow I enjoy, watching it fall and the next morning. But, I am not a fan of when it stays cold and the snow hangs around, dirty and ugly. So, my love for snow is conditional. 😂

It’s turned cold here also, but not that cold yet. Just the kind with rain that hints Autumn is close to over visually, even if the calendar says it will be a while.
A very pleasing view, the nice warm tones of the grass and blue sky, with the fresh snow – I can almost smell the crisp, clean air.

Yes, we are cold this morning at 14 degrees. But we have those clear blue skies and sunshine. We also have a heavy frost on everything. I watched as the trees were quickly dropping leaves a couple days before the snowfall and cold. Winter is here in Colorado. Enjoy your week.
