This Galaxy of Stars

“Tomorrow is never ours until it becomes today.”

It was 62 degrees yesterday afternoon as I sat in my yard soaking up the sun and journaled. Had lots on my mind so the words flowed. I was joined by three squirrels who were also enjoying the sunshine while chasing one another, seemingly in a game of tag. Mallards and geese floating on the open water were making quite a racket as they enjoyed the water. And as I watched, listened and wrote my mind settled down. Then a thought came that I should take my camera for a walk around the pond, stretching my legs and flexing my shutter finger. Before I knew it this short jaunt became a lovely gift as I came across this galaxy of stars.

Retired. Having fun shooting Fujifilm cameras. Journal daily. Meditate daily. Learning haiku. Have a love for fountain pens.

Lovely and inspiring photograph for me, Monte. While backpacking in the local Wind River Mts. on two separate occasions I had powerful experiences with “galaxy-of-stars”. This is a cherished reminder of those precious pauses in the glory of Creation, in the presence of The Creator. I am so very glad that you had such a lovely day. It’s been balmy and sunny here as well, more like early Spring than January. Blessings and thank you!

Thank you for sharing that with me. I also have had a variety of powerful experiences that have altered how I perceive and live within the world. And, these moments let us know that creation is an ongoing process, in which we are a part of. Yes, I saw where you were above zero for a change!!
